Commission is recurring for the first 12 months of each subscription you refer. If a customer upgrades from Starter to Pro during that window, your commission goes up with them.
Your link sets a 90-day cookie. If someone clicks it and signs up any time in those 90 days, the referral is yours, even if they start on the free plan and upgrade later.
Payouts run monthly by PayPal or bank transfer once your balance reaches $50. Commissions are approved after a 30-day refund window, so a sale made in January is paid at the end of February.
No. Paid search on "ZipTier" and close variants is not permitted, and neither is coupon spam, typosquatting, or self-referral. Do that and commissions are voided. Everything else, including paid social and non-branded search, is fair game.
If your clients buy and manage their own ZipTier account, the affiliate program is the simpler path. If you want to own the billing relationship and manage campaigns on their behalf, tell us in your application and we will talk through agency terms.
