What is ZipTier?

ZipTier is an AI-powered lead capture and qualification service for B2B marketing. It lets you create branded AI assistants for your marketing website and field events — in under 10 minutes, with no coding required.

The AI assistant engages visitors 24/7, answers product questions using your own content, detects purchase intent in real time, and captures high-quality leads for your sales team.

Who is ZipTier designed for?

ZipTier is built for B2B marketing teams and founders who want to convert more website visitors and event attendees into qualified pipeline without adding headcount. It is especially well-suited for:

How quickly can I get started?

Most customers deploy their first AI assistant in under 10 minutes using a three-step wizard:

  • Step 1 — Describe: Set your campaign type (website or event) and give the assistant its context
  • Step 2 — Customize: Set brand colors, logo, greeting message, and kickoff questions
  • Step 3 — Upload: Add marketing content (PDF, PPTX, DOCX, or website URL) as the knowledge base

No coding required. After setup, share a direct link or embed a widget with a single line of JavaScript.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?

No. ZipTier's Free plan requires no credit card. You can create up to 3 campaigns and run up to 10 AI conversations per month at zero cost, with no trial period or expiration.

The AI Assistant

How does the AI assistant answer questions?

ZipTier uses a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture powered by Claude from Anthropic. When a visitor asks a question:

  • The AI searches your uploaded content for the most relevant information
  • It generates an accurate, conversational response grounded in your content — not generic internet knowledge
  • Responses are continuously monitored for quality and accuracy

This means the AI answers only based on what you have provided, reducing hallucinations and ensuring on-brand responses.

What content formats can I upload?

ZipTier supports the following for your knowledge base:

  • Documents: PDF, DOCX (Word), PPTX (PowerPoint), TXT
  • Images with text: JPG, PNG
  • Web pages: Any publicly accessible URL (ZipTier crawls and processes automatically)

Files can be up to 25 MB each. You can add up to 50 documents per campaign, plus up to 15 websites with 100 pages per site (on higher plans).

Can I test the AI assistant before going live?

Yes. ZipTier includes a Sandbox environment for full testing before launch. Sandbox conversations are counted separately from your live credits, so testing does not reduce your monthly allowance.

Can I customize the assistant's appearance?

Yes, fully. Each campaign can have its own branded assistant with:

  • Company logo and custom header colors
  • Choice of fonts: Inter, Lexend, Open Sans, Roboto, or Helvetica
  • Custom greeting message (up to 300 characters)
  • 3 conversation starter (kickoff) questions
  • CTA buttons (e.g., Book a Demo, Learn More, Contact Us)

Pro and Premium plans support white-label mode — removing ZipTier branding entirely.

Lead Capture & Qualification

How does ZipTier capture leads?

ZipTier offers two complementary lead capture approaches:

  • Upfront form — Collect visitor information (name, email, company, job title, phone) before the conversation starts. You control which fields are mandatory or optional.
  • High Intent Lead Capture — The AI monitors conversations in real time for purchase intent signals. When strong intent is detected, the AI naturally requests the visitor's email within the conversation — no upfront gate required.

High Intent Lead Capture is especially effective for product research conversations, delivering higher-quality leads with less friction.

What purchase intent signals does ZipTier look for?

ZipTier's intent engine looks for five BANT signals:

  • Purchase — Visitor asks to get started or signals readiness to move forward (pricing questions alone don't qualify)
  • Timing — Visitor mentions a concrete deadline, rollout window, or evaluation period
  • Authority — Visitor explicitly states they make or influence purchasing decisions
  • Need — Visitor describes a specific business problem they are trying to solve
  • Budget — Visitor mentions a budget amount or financial approval requirement

The system is deliberately conservative — it only fires on clear, explicit intent, so your team only receives genuinely high-quality leads.

How quickly will I be notified about a new lead?

ZipTier sends an email alert within approximately 10 minutes of a high-intent lead being captured. The alert includes a conversation summary, detected intent signals, and a link to view full contact details in the dashboard.

Responding within the first hour makes you 7x more likely to have a meaningful conversation with the prospect.

Can visitors book a meeting directly from the chat?

Yes. ZipTier includes native Calendly integration. Visitors can schedule a meeting without leaving the chat — the Calendly widget renders inline inside the conversation panel. You can configure meeting booking to show always or only when high intent is detected.

Deployment & Integration

How do I add ZipTier to my website?

Two options, usable simultaneously:

  • Website embed (widget): Add a single <script> tag before the closing </body> tag. Pre-built instructions are available for WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, and Squarespace. Use the Widget Builder Playground at ziptier.ai/widget-builder to visually configure button text, color, size, and position.
  • Standalone page: Every campaign gets a unique hosted URL (e.g., acmeCo.ziptier.ai/chat) shareable via email, social media, QR codes, or presentations.
Does ZipTier integrate with my CRM?

Yes. ZipTier natively integrates with HubSpot CRM (available on Pro and Premium plans). When a high-intent lead is captured, ZipTier automatically creates or updates a contact in HubSpot with the lead's information and an AI-generated conversation summary.

For all other CRMs, leads can be exported as CSV. Salesforce and additional CRM integrations are on the roadmap.

Can I use ZipTier for events like conferences and webinars?

Yes. ZipTier has a dedicated Event campaign type designed for conferences, webinars, workshops, trade shows, customer summits, and training sessions.

The AI is trained on your event content — agendas, speaker bios, session schedules, venue details, and FAQs. Attendees get instant accurate answers via a QR code link or your event registration page.

Can I run multiple campaigns at the same time?

Yes. Active campaign limits by plan:

  • Free: 3 campaigns
  • Starter ($99/month): 25 campaigns
  • Pro ($499/month): 75 campaigns
  • Premium ($1,999/month): 150 campaigns

Each campaign has its own branding, knowledge base, and analytics.

Analytics & Insights

What analytics does ZipTier provide?

Each campaign includes a dashboard with:

  • Daily active users (DAU) and engagement trends
  • Total AI conversations and CTA click-through rates
  • AI-generated lead scores for individual prospects
  • Job title and company breakdown of visitors
  • AI-generated summaries of top questions, themes, and intent signals
  • Full conversation transcripts

Basic analytics is available on the Free plan. Advanced AI analytics and insights are included on Starter and above. Data refreshes twice daily; full conversation details are available approximately 12 hours after a session.

Can I see what questions visitors are asking most?

Yes. ZipTier's AI analytics surfaces top themes, questions, and pain points from your visitor conversations — for example, showing that 34% ask about pricing, 28% about integrations, and 22% about feature comparisons. You can also read full individual transcripts.

Pricing & Plans

What are ZipTier's pricing plans?
  • Free — $0/month: 10 AI conversations, 3 campaigns, basic analytics. No credit card required.
  • Starter — $99/month: 200 conversations, 25 campaigns, advanced analytics, email lead alerts. Best for ~2,000 monthly visitors.
  • Pro — $499/month: 1,000 conversations, 75 campaigns, HubSpot CRM sync, white-label branding. Best for ~10,000 monthly visitors.
  • Premium — $1,999/month: 4,000 conversations, 150 campaigns, dedicated account manager. Best for ~40,000 monthly visitors.

All plans are billed monthly with no long-term contracts. Upgrade or downgrade anytime.

What counts as an AI conversation?

A conversation is a visitor session with your AI assistant. Credit counting:

  • Messages 1–2 in every conversation are free
  • Message 3 triggers one credit, covering messages 3 through 12
  • One additional credit per subsequent 10-message block (at messages 13, 23, 33)
  • Sessions are capped at 40 messages

In practice, most conversations are under 12 messages, so one credit covers a complete interaction.

What happens if I use all my conversation credits?

New visitor sessions will not be able to start until your credits replenish at the start of your next billing cycle. To avoid interruption, you can upgrade your plan or purchase additional conversation credits on demand from Settings > Subscription > Buy Conversations.

Can I upgrade or cancel my plan at any time?

Yes. No lock-in, no contracts, no cancellation fees. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from Settings > Subscription > Manage Plan.

Security & Data Privacy

How does ZipTier handle my data?
  • All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest
  • Hosted on AWS with role-based access controls
  • Your data is never sold to third parties
  • Your data is never used to train AI models — Claude only draws on your uploaded content to answer questions
