Subscription Plans

ZipTier uses a subscription-based pricing model to enable predictable costs and full flexibility for our customers. Every ZipTier account needs an active subscription plan — your plan determines the features you can access, how many campaigns you can run, the number of AI Conversations available each month, and the level of support you receive. Without an active plan, you won't be able to create campaigns or enable features on the platform.

ZipTier offers four monthly plans — Free, Starter, Pro, and Premium — designed to scale with your business as your traffic and engagement grow. When you create a new ZipTier account, you'll be asked to choose a plan as the final step of registration. You can start with the Free plan at no cost, or select any paid plan and complete payment through a secure Stripe checkout. You can always change your plan later from Settings > Subscription > Manage Plan.


Available Plans

All plans are billed monthly. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time.

The Free Plan

The Free plan is available to every ZipTier account at no cost and with no credit card required. It's designed to give you enough credits and features to fully explore the platform — run experiments, evaluate the AI Assistant's capabilities, test lead capture workflows, and pilot ZipTier on a small scale before committing to a paid plan.

You can stay on the Free plan for as long as you like. There is no time limit or trial period. When you're ready to scale up for a production-grade use case — more campaigns, higher conversation volumes, CRM integrations, or priority support — you can upgrade to a paid plan at any time from your dashboard.


Choosing the Right Plan

One of the key factors when choosing a plan is your expected monthly website traffic — this determines how many AI Conversations you'll need. As a general guideline:

  • Free — Explore, experiment, and pilot ZipTier at no cost.
  • Starter ($99/month) — Best for smaller brands and lower traffic sites with up to 2,000 monthly visitors.
  • Pro ($499/month) — For growing brands with steady traffic up to 10,000 monthly visitors.
  • Premium ($1,999/month) — For high-traffic brands operating at scale with up to 40,000 monthly visitors.

💡 Tip: The traffic estimates above are based on a typical visitor engagement benchmark of about 10%. If you expect heavier engagement or plan to run large campaigns, consider choosing a higher plan.

Beyond traffic, each plan also differs in feature capabilities that may influence your decision:

  • AI lead capture — ZipTier's AI detects purchase intent as part of the visitor conversations and captures contact details at the right moment if not collected upfront. Once a lead is captured, real-time email alerts notify your sales team so they can follow up immediately with the leads to maximize conversion. On Pro and Premium plans, lead alerts can also be synced to your CRM (HubSpot).
  • Campaign limits — Higher plans support significantly more active campaigns (3 on Free vs. 150 on Premium), more documents and websites per campaign, and larger knowledge bases.
  • Analytics — The Free plan includes basic analytics. Starter and above unlock advanced AI analytics and insights for deeper engagement and conversion data.
  • White-label branding — Remove ZipTier branding from your AI Assistant on Pro and Premium plans.
  • Support — Ranges from email support on Free, to 24–48 hour email response on Starter, priority SLA-backed support on Pro, and a dedicated account manager on Premium.

How AI Conversation Credits Work

Each plan includes a set number of AI Conversations per month. An AI Conversation is a session where a visitor interacts with your AI Assistant — asking questions, exploring your content, or providing their contact information.

When Credits Are Consumed

A conversation is a series of message exchanges between a visitor and the AI Assistant, where each exchange consists of a visitor's message and the AI's response. ZipTier is designed so that short, casual visits don't consume your conversation credits. Here's how it works:

  • The first 2 messages in every conversation are free — no credit is charged. This ensures you're not billed for visitors who are just browsing or asking a quick question.
  • On the 3rd message, one conversation credit is consumed. This credit covers messages 3 through 12 (one full 10-message block).
  • An additional credit is consumed at every subsequent 10-message interval — at the 13th, 23rd, and 33rd message.
  • Conversations are capped at 40 messages per session.

💡 In practice: Most visitor conversations are well under 12 messages, so a single credit typically covers an entire interaction. The tiered approach ensures you only pay more for deeply engaged prospects — which are usually your highest-value leads.

Live vs. Sandbox

  • Conversations are counted separately for Live (production) and Sandbox (testing) environments.
  • Your conversation allowance replenishes automatically at the start of each billing cycle.
  • If you exhaust your monthly conversations, visitors will not be able to start new sessions until the next cycle begins or you upgrade to a higher plan.
