Affiliate Program
ZipTier runs a partner affiliate program, powered by Rewardful, that pays a flat 30% recurring commission on every subscription you refer, for the first 12 months of that subscription. Joining is free, there's no minimum traffic requirement, and you don't need to be a paying ZipTier customer to promote us.
Joining the Program
Sign up for a free affiliate account at ziptier.getrewardful.com/signup. Once approved, Rewardful gives you a unique referral link and a partner dashboard where you can track clicks, trials, paid conversions, and pending payout in real time.
Your referral link works on any page on ziptier.ai, not just the homepage — you can send visitors straight to a pricing page, a specific use case, or a comparison page and still keep attribution.
How Referral Attribution Works
When someone clicks your referral link, Rewardful sets a 90-day cookie in their browser. If that visitor creates a ZipTier account any time within those 90 days, the referral is credited to you — even if they sign up on the Free plan and only upgrade to a paid plan later.
Because attribution is decided once, at registration, there's nothing further you or the referred customer need to do to keep the link active — it isn't affected by later plan changes, upgrades, downgrades, or which page they return to ZipTier through.

Payouts
- Payouts run monthly via PayPal or bank transfer.
- A $50 minimum balance is required before a payout is issued — balances below that roll over to the next month.
- New commissions go through a 30-day approval window before they're payable, so that refunds or chargebacks can be netted out first.
Cancellations and Refunds
If a referred customer cancels their subscription, your commission stops as of their last paid month — any commission already paid out to you is yours to keep. If a charge is later refunded, the corresponding commission is deducted from your next payout, which is part of why new commissions carry a 30-day approval window.
Program Rules
The following activities are not permitted and will void commissions:
- Bidding on paid search ads for "ZipTier" or close misspellings/variants of the brand name.
- Coupon or deal-site spam.
- Typosquatting on ZipTier's domain or brand name.
- Self-referrals (referring your own accounts to collect commission on your own subscription).
Everything else — including paid social, organic content, non-branded search, email, and communities — is fair game.
FAQ
Do I need to be a ZipTier customer to join?
No. Joining is free and open to anyone, whether or not you use ZipTier yourself.
What if my referral starts on the Free plan?
You're still credited as their referring affiliate for the life of the 90-day cookie. If they upgrade to a paid plan at any point after that — even months later, as long as the account itself was created within the cookie window — your 12-month commission window starts from that paid conversion.
Where do I manage my affiliate account?
All affiliate account management — your referral link, payout details, and performance dashboard — lives in your Rewardful partner dashboard, separate from your ZipTier product account.
Why didn't my referral get credited?
The most common cause is an ad blocker or a privacy-focused browser (e.g. Brave, Comet) blocking Rewardful's tracking script or cookie on the visitor's device, so the click was never recorded. Confirm the click shows up in your Rewardful dashboard — if it doesn't, the tracking script didn't run.
